I'm A DORK!!!

So if not putting sunscreen on today while at the lake wasn't silly enough...

I rushed off to take back our red box movie before nine, I had just got out of the shower like, literally seconds before leaving my house.

I waited in line for about 10 minutes, it was a busy night.

It wasn't until I got home and Corey pointed out what I couldn't see that I felt like the huge dork that I am.
So we listed all the ways I was a dork tonight standing in line returning the red box before 9:00pm.

I was wearing my paint stained pants with my bright xx large tie died shirt
I had wet unbrushed hair.
My face was as red as a lobster.
And the worst one, I had black mascara running down my cheeks, from my shower I jumped out of and threw some close on and ran to take the red box back. I guess I failed to look in the mirror before I left.

We sure did have a good laugh about it though so I guess it's ok.

Nap Time

Charlie started crying as I was running laundry out to the washer. I asked Bryant to help him and when I came back in a couple minutes later this is how I found them.
Too cute!!!

Train Park

On Monday my Grandma took my sister and her boys and all of my crew to the train park. She bought us all day passes for the carousel and train. The train was broken for most of the day but we did ride our money's worth on the carousel. It was a fun day and we really enjoyed it.
Overload of pictures!!

In the caboose.
Just chill'n
Handsome boys!!!

Round and round...
and round...

and around we went!!!
We also had lunch together and she bought all the boys a Popsicle.
Climbing the rock wall.
Monkey Bryant
More rock wall
Sweet Charlie enjoying it all.
Thanks Grandma GG!!!
Then later that day my mom took the boys over night for me.
It was a great day!!!

Wet Dog...

Why do I smell like a wet dog today??
Maybe cause I spent more time playing outside with the boys, than I did inside today.
After we played outside they had to have baths, so I got pretty wet.
And that is why I think I keep smelling wet dog, also I think this shirt may have stayed in the washer a little to long before being dried in the dryer, yuck!!

Why is it that there are so many freaking cute affordable clothes for little girls out there but hardly any for boys???
My husband keeps bugging me to make boys clothes but I just don't want to have to do that.
But after thinking about how much it would cost to have cute matching outfits for our boys for Easter I decided I WOULD make their outfits.
Then I went to the fabric store and guess what, the freaking book full of patterns was mostly full of little girl dresses. Yeah I had a pretty hard time finding the one and only little boy outfit that wasn't pj pants or a silly jacket.
SO I hope they turn out and I think I need to go to design school and start inventing some dang cute boys clothes cause man this is ridiculous!!!

Now I'm off to clean my house...

Motherhood is...

a blessing. A gift. Something that I do not take for granted. I love my children. I take this very special job seriously! So seriously that some days I feel overwhelmed with the job entrusted to me by my Heavenly Father. Today is one of those days. I am scared I'm not doing the job well enough. Will my kids always know I love them? Will I teach them to make good choices? Will they make good choices? Will they be happy and will they treat others kindly?
I worry to much about all the things I need to do it feel suffocating sometimes. I do know that I am trying my hardest to do things right. No I don't always get it right, but I am trying. It is a tough job to raise children. To be a FULL time mom is probably the best job on this earth. Sheri Dew wrote, "Nothing. No diplomat or CEO or billionaire philanthropist does anything that comes anywhere close in importance to what a mother does. No trophy or status or honor of man begins to compare with motherhood in terms of its eternal impact and glory. Period." I love this because that is how I feel most times. The job I am doing has more importance than that of anything else I could be doing. Those that belittle motherhood or feel it is not a real job don't really understand what it is to be a real mother.
Today I woke up and said my prayers and specifically prayed to know how to do this job right. There is no training, no guide book on how to deal with a specific child and I was just feeling the need for extra help from a loving Heavenly Father that I know wants me to do it right.
After I thought for a while I realized I had lots of sources to help me in raising my children righteously. First the scriptures and the wonderful example set by the selfless Jesus Christ. Also the example of his Father, our Heavenly Father. He sent me here to earth to be cared for and loved by my wonderful parents that taught me so much about being a hard worker and most important loving and charitable.
I know I can do this job!!
