Confidence...

Today I was talking to my husband about something that may be silly to many...
Well I took some of our new neighbors brownies tonight with the boys for FHE. After that we went to the park... I had Bryant in the stroller and Dallin on my shoulders.... So we get there and I put Dallin on the play gym and thought oh that's kinda weird my neck is kinda wet... So I look at Dallin and he pants are wet, hmmm... Yup he had a horrible poopy diaper, and now it was all over my neck too, gross!! Just as I was getting him off the play gym I noticed a super cool Radio Flyer that the people at the park had (these people just happen to be my nice Russian next door neighbors that speak very, very little English)... Now let me back up a little. After we got back from Arizona I couldn't find Dallin "Super Cool Radio Flyer bike" that Corey and I had bought him. I know we had it the day we left for Arizona cause we played with it at the park... Fast forward now... Yes you guessed it it was our Radio Flyer that they had. My heart sunk into my stomach because I really really loved that Radio Flyer. But with poop all over my neck and tears almost in my eyes from the sadness that I felt when I saw these other kids owning MY radio flyer I couldn't do anything. I sat there for a second and tried to convince myself that maybe they need it more than we do. But this is not the case, they have tons of bikes!! So I left the park again with poop on my neck, and headed home. I called my dad and he said I should just tell them what happened but I was way to scared to say anything, the language barrier is kinda hard. So then I talked to Corey and he said I should just tell them what happened. Oh how I wish one of those men were here to do this seemingly hard task (to me) for me. But they weren't and I didn't say anything so now my neighbors have my kids bike and I wish I had the confidence to go say something. That is what Corey and I talked about. How I don't think I have the confidence I wish I had. Then I read a friends blog and today she had a single post devoted to confidence. She is amazing. I appreciate her so much because many times things she has written have helped me in my day. So now I am contemplating whether or not I'll go ask them for my bike back...
Maybe I'll wait til tomorrow, I'll have Corey go with me, I'll do the talking and he'll be there for support. Small steps... It's a hard thing to overcome you know...

This is what i Did!!

I had a super funny yet cute picture of Dallin in the dress but after getting much the expected heat I knew I would get I decided to take it off.

I love Charlotte!!

This is a water spout that they have near every ramada. I thought it was cool since I have never seen anything like it. I was all excited to pump it (I thought it was on old fashioned water pump) so Corey let me pump it for a while then he came over and told me that it wasn't a pump but that you just lift the handle and the water comes out. I felt pretty dumb!! The beautiful scenery
Daddy and his boys
Daddy found a cute little frog. Dallin thought it was pretty neat.

My Annoying Neighbors...

Today I was reading this and thought that it fits my situation perfectly:
I have no idea who you are. I do not know if you’re male, female, young, old, black, white, straight, gay, ambidextrous, or a midget. What I do know is this: You are almost certainly obese and have at least one wooden leg. It is likely that I am completely off in my speculation, but at least hear me out. I do have some evidence that would warrant such claims. First of all, if you aren’t a manatee with at least one wooden appendage, I must assume then, that you do indeed have your feet blocked in cement. At the very least, you have a horrible case of elephantitis of the lower body causing your feet to stomp and drag and cause a great amount of disturbance. Now I’ve lived in apartments before, some being quite rowdy seeing as I did attend college for five years. Despite this, you my heavy hooved friend, are one of a kind.
I can't stand it!! Every night at 9:00pm it all starts. THe most noise I've ever heard coming from an upstairs neighbor. I don't hear much at all during the day but all night I hear them. It sounds like they are dancing all over their apartment. It drives me nuts, mostly when it wakes my child that I work so hard to get to sleep. I don't know what to do about it either. I thought of making them cookies and talking to them just to see what I'm up against. What should I do??

My sweet sweet boys!!

Well I just have to brag a little. Today my eldest son showed me just how responsible he can be. Every day around noon sometime he takes a nap. Well today after getting Bryant down for a nap I did a little rearranging of the boys room and cleaning up and then decided to make lunch since it was 11:45. I started getting the water to boil for good ol' mac and cheese and he comes up to me saying "uh,uh,uh" and pointing to the gross old bottle on the counter. I said "oh you want a drink?" As to which he then did the sign for drink (thumb to the mouth) and shook his head yes. So I made some juice and put it in his sippy cup and handed it to him. Then I went on with lunch but this is not what he had in mind. He took my finger and pulled me out of the kitchen. I followed him into his room where he pointed to his crib and smiled. He was telling me, "mom I want to take a nap now". I thought well alright. I was hoping to get lunch in before the nap but if he's begging I'm not gonna tell him no. I mean how many children beg to go to bed? I know I have mentioned this before about Dallin but every time it just amazes me that he STILL WANTS to be put to bed. I'm so proud!! And then finally and I mean FINALLY Bryant has decided that rolling over isn't such a bad thing. He's doing it very well now and that also makes me very proud!!! Thanks boys for making mommy such a happy lady.

Look-a Like

Corey's cousin Dustin had a little boy last December and as I have looked at her blog and watched him grow I can't help but think of how much he looks like Dallin. It's really strange but he almost looks like he could be Dallin's brother better than Bryant. Take a look at what I mean. Maybe it is only me but I sure think they look alike.
This is Dallin... And this is Braden

Pajama Party

Tonight we rented out the movie theater at our apartment complex again. I love this theater. You can wear what ever you want and you can let the kiddos, in our case kiddo, run around without bothering anyone. It was lots of fun like always!! We ate dinner, gave the boys a bath and put them in their pjs. Then I got my pj's on and Corey decided he wouldn't be a party pooper and he got into his also. Dallin sported the nice batman pj, while Corey wore his spider man pajama bottoms I made him while we were dating. I wish I would have had some pictures of it but for now all you get is a brief description of our exciting night.

Happy Birthday!!

My Great Grandma turned 87 years old today. She spent her day doing her usual things. She's kinda funny cause she has her routine of things she does and how she does them. She even talks herself through these things as she's doing them. Well tonight we had dinner and then my mom got out her favorite, Pecan Pie. We had a candle on top of it so she could blow it out after we were done singing her happy birthday. This was a bit scary to me and my dad because she still had a mouth full of food from dinner that she was chewing. So we sung the song and the whole time I keep looking at her and then back at my dad, both of us are scared to death that she is going to blow chicken and rice all over her pie. Well after the song was sung we looked at the candle and by some lucky chance the candle had already been blown out. Relief came over me! I didn't have to watch her blow the candle and everything else out. The look on her face was priceless too. As you will see below she was a bit shocked that the candle was already blown out. She's too funny!! This is her after she found out the candle was already blown out, look at that face...
Oh well!
Dallin was mesmerized by the pie!
Yummy!!!
Happy 87th Birthday Grandma!!

Friends

This is my version of jail for my son. The other night he was playing with the stools and was trying to climb in them so I helped him and he loved it. It was kinda nice to have him confined in a small place where he can't get into things that he isn't supposed to and also keeping him away from hitting anyone. Yes that's right my sweet Dallin is turning into a terrible 2 early. I don't know what to do with him. He loves to hit things. Anything he can get close to and that is breathing he hits. I've tried putting him in time out but he doesn't seem to care. Well, I guess I'll just have to keep trying. I'm not a huge fan of this stage!!
Yesterday we went over to my friend Jen's house to play. Lindsey came over also with little Aiden. It was lots of fun I'm just sad that I didn't get any pictures of Jen's little girl Katelyn. She is too cute!! She is such a sweet little girl. I could totally tell a difference from her being a girl and Dallin being a boy. Girls are pretty sweet and boys are pretty rowdy. Don't get me wrong I love boys to death, I was just really loving the sweet calm personality of Katelyn. (refer to the above coment on Dallin present behavior)
Here are Bryant and Aiden

Today we went to Tempe Town Lake's Fun Water
Park. We had lots of fun!!! Dallin wasn't to sure of the water at first but after a while he was running everywhere through all the water. His favorite thing to do was the slide. I didn't get a picture of it but he could have done that all day, too bad he didn't discover it until a little while before we left. I would have liked to have let him play on it longer but I was tired. I look forward to the time when my kids are old enough to play in the water by themselves.
Bryant loved the bag of grapes that Grandma Jones put in the diaper bag for us.

Water and Dress up, Oh what fun!!!

Dallin had decided he loves to be outside no matter what the temperature may be. The past couple days to survive the heat we have been playing with the garden hose. This has actually been a very fun bonding time for me and him. I never knew I could enjoy being outside in this heat so much. He has tons of fun spraying me with the hose and I have tons of fun staying cool. Yesterday we played for a while and I let him get me wet and then sat in the lawn chair while he continued to play in the water and in no time I was all dry again. Wow it's amazing! It's like a huge dryer outside. Anyways... today I thought what the heck I'm putting my suit on and we're getting the slip and slide out. Dallin absolutely loved this!! We played for so long on it. I put Bryant in the walker next to the slide and then I would run to the slide with Dallin running at me and I would slide and catch Dallin half way and he would slide the rest of the way with me. The look in his eyes was so awesome. I felt like the coolest mom ever!!! It totally makes my now cut up knees and sore wrist all worth it!! I could do this everyday. After we were done playing I called Corey to tell him what an awesome mom Dallin thought I was. He was pretty proud of me I think. It's not like me to do such "adventurous" things. I told him I can't wait til we have a house so that we can have our own slip and slide and play on it everyday in our own yard. Well, after playing on the slide I brought the boys in the house and took Dallin's diaper off and he then decided to take a nice leak on the floor. Oh well, what boy doesn't like to take a leak where it's not appropriate? We'll have to work on that one. So after all is said and done we had a very good afternoon. Now here are a few pictures of our "adventure".

Dallin kept almost drowning himself in the water coming out of the end of the tube. But he loved it!!
This was Bryant, my mom and I being silly with a mouse nose. Bryant was too cute in it and me and my mom are not so hot!!
See what I mean, really stink'n cute and...
yup...
not so hot!!!

This was the other night Dallin kept putting hats on all of us. He was to funny with the hats!! I love that little boy. He makes me laugh all the time.

Bryant just adores his older brother. He is always watching him and learning new things from him. I think someday Dallin will be convincing Bryant to do terrible things just cause he can because Bryant will want to be cool for his brother, I'm so scared!!
I love you Dallin!!!
This hat was actually on my head. It's kinda funny cause it doesn't really look like it. It kinda looks like it's floating. ooooohhh, spooky!
(it's kinda sad cause it makes my head look so dang small!!) And just a little something that I, being the mom of Dallin Michael, am proud to say, He has said his first real sentence!! Now if you know my son and the situation we are in (and I'm not really sure what to do about it) he doesn't speak AT ALL, not even mama or dada. It is kinda upsetting to me but I am proud of him because he has been learning sign language very well. Some of the few signs he knows are:
-more
-thank you
-(his own version of) please
-food
-drink
So not a very long list but it's the basics and the most necessary ones right. Well the other day at breakfast me and my mom and Dallin were all eating together and in sign language he said... "Please more food".
Me and my mom went crazy and he thought it was so funny he just kept saying food, food, food. Probably cause after he finished saying food we went crazy. But anyways that's my proud moment as a mom. Now hopefully we can try to get the boy to start saying verbal words. I long to hear the word "mama".
