Rocky Point 2011

Every year in October our family heads over the border to good ol' Rocky Point, Mexico. My family has been doing this with a great group of friends since I was in the 5th grade. It is always a blast and I love that my kids are now getting to experience things that I enjoyed as a child as well.
Here we are on Sand Dollar Beach.
The sand dollars were EVERYWHERE!!! Lots of fun!!
Big Preggo!!
(Don't get me wrong I love being pregnant and I absolutely LOVE this baby in my belly, it's just big!!)
Asher playing in the sand with his cousin Sol!
Searching the coral for starfish in the early morning, Dallin's favorite thing to do!!!
Daddy and Bryant had just got back from snorkeling also.
More playing in the Sand
My mom and Dallin found a HUGE hermit crab, seriously HUGE!!!
Then we spotted a beached whale and we all felt so bad for her,
but unfortunately she was too big to throw back into the ocean!!
It was such a fun trip and I'm so glad that our family gets to do this every year!!

Grass...

Our, meaning my husbands, hard work has paid off and we now have a beautiful backyard full of grass. I love it so very much!! The boys play outside all the time now, especially now that the weather is so nice!! I love this time of year!!!
We even have grass on this side of the yard, some place it has never had grass in the 2 1/2 years we have lived here. And it is so nice for the kids!!

Broken???

On Sunday Dallin was playing outside with his cousin when he came in crying and holding his arm. We were told he fell through the whole (spring area of the trampoline) and fell off and hit his head and fell onto his arm. He was being pretty careful with it and wouldn't move it much so we talked about taking him to urgent care. Corey and I are not big on taking our kids to the doctors at all. If we can fix the problem ourselves we will do that before taking any of them in. We don't really like doctors... anyways we waited for about 45min.'s to see if he would be ok and go play but he just sat there and asked to lay down and still refused to use his arm so we took him in. They did some x-rays and said he had a very mild brake just below his wrist. They gave him a brace and sling and told us to go see a specialist for a real cast. As you can see from the picture we never got the real cast. I saw the x-ray and I'm not sure if it really needed a "real" cast. This one is working just fine. A little harder to keep on him but he's gonna be just fine. Then on Monday he touched the hot stove and burnt his other elbow bad and didn't even cry just comes up to Corey and says, "Dad I burnt my knee". Silly kid!!!

I guess I was meant to have all boys since this broken bones,
burn, and blood business is no big deal to me!!

On a funnier note Dallin was cracking me up this morning.
This is what he said while at our neighbors house playing outside...
"My mom has a baby BOY in her belly, he's a REAL boy!!"
My neighbor and I are laughing!! I said,
"Yes you guys got what you and daddy wanted all boys!"
Then Dallin said,
"Yeah mommy doesn't know how to grow girls!"

He knows what he wants...

This morning I got out my cup and filled it with water. Asher came running up to me saying, "Juice, Juice, Juice!!" Which is what he calls everything you can drink. So I put my cup down and got him his own cup of water and he says, "NO!!" Then points to my cup and says "JUICE". So since it wasn't that big of a deal to me to have the big white cup I let him have it. He was thrilled then after taking a big long drink of it he carried it around like it was his baby, hugging it close!! If you were to try and take that cup away you would have gotten the look of death, see below!!

We sure love our little Asher boy!!! He is such a funny kid to have around and he is constantly cracking me up with his very dramatic facial expressions. He gives the best angry, mad, silly, funny looks to you and loves to play eye games. He has the darkest brown eyes that are so handsome and I'm sure I will have to fight the girlies off of him, along with all the girls swarming his brothers!! I sure have my work cut out for me!!!

Sometimes change can be very hard!!!

Corey recently went to an interview for a company called Ameriflight.
Well they offered him a job and therefore our lives will be changing in the not to near but near future!!
If things go as planned he will start his training on Jan. 9th and we will be probably be moving sometime in March. This is a very hard choice we have had to make but I know it is for the best for Corey's carrer.
I tried to explain to Dallin the other day that we would be moving and what that meant and he had a total meltdown. He cried for the longest time and said he didn't want to go anywhere and that he liked it here. When Corey asked him what was wrong he responded by saying, "Mommy said something bad!"
I think the hardest part for me will be leaving all my family and friends. Another hard part will be leaving this home we have built together. It's not the same house we moved into, we have done so much to it to change it and make it ours and now we will be leaving it, renting it to someone else and hoping that they will love it and take care of it like we do. It sounds terrible but I think the thing I will miss the most in our home is our kitchen. We just remodeled it and I loveit cause it is my kitchen. Looking at houses for rent in different locations has made me realize how spoiled I am to have my kitchen and now I'm not sure I can survive with out a nice open kitchen. May be vain but once you've had something open and inviting going to a dark closed hallway of a kitchen just seems depressing!! I told my mom one good thing about moving is that I will get to decorate a new house again, but then I thought about my house and I love how I have it decorated and I wouldn't want it different. Plus since we will be renting out our house I am going to have to paint over all my colors and make it neutral for renters. And that means the WHOLE house because I have painted everything. Sad day!!!
So for now we will just wait to find out where we will be moving to. They have given us 3 different locations that we could possibly move, Buffalo, NY, Omaha, NE, and Dallas, TX. I am hoping and praying for Dallas! It's close enough that I could drive home if I needed to.
So wish us luck that we will get Dallas for my sake!!!

Halloween Party

Last night I decided it would be fun to have a Halloween Dinner party with our little family.
We made mummy's with blood, wiggly pasta and slime juice.
The boys thought it was just great. I even let them help me wrap the mummy's.
Asher stuck his mummy on his thumb and ate it that way. It was so cute!!!
Dallin drinking his slime juice.
Daddy being nice and posing for a picture.
He was so wonderful because I told him that we could only have the party on one condition, we clean the house. I ran to the store to get a few things and when I got back he had done almost all the cleaning.
Dirty face!!!
After dinner we cleaned up, the boys showered and I made some caramel corn. Then the boys all sat down to watch a fun Halloween movie.
It was a fun night and I think the boys had a good time!!

Beautiful Weather!!

Yesterday the weather was so perfect that we decided to spend the entire day outside.
To make sure it would rain we started out the day by washing our messy car.
I kinda knew it would happen but the car needed it anyway.
Then we did a TON of yard work!
In the front I pulled all my summer flowers out of the flower bed in preparation for fall flowers.
In the back we tilled the whole yard and put a winter seed lawn down, covered it with super stinky cow poop and hopefully we will have a nice yard in a few weeks. In the meantime our poor dog has to be locked up in the front yard.
It was a good day and despite the fact that we were outside all day long the house still managed to get REALLY dirty, I think it was from cleaning out the car and not cleaning up after we ate breakfast and lunch. Oh well though today is another day...
