I Love my Kids!!!

Today...
Dallin tried to climb on the counter. Daddy told him to get down, so he comes over and tells me,
" I turn it on....I shake my bootie!"
And then he shows me how he will shake it!
He wanted to turn the radio on so he could dance.
And my oh my are my boys good dancers!!!

Silly Bryant Boy!

Whenever I go over to my mom's house Bryant always seems to find some kind of head gear and sports it around the house looking mighty cute if you ask me. This has been one of his favorites lately. I love it!!!

Cha-cha-cha-chia

My mom's friend made her this thing last Christmas. It was supposed to be a scarf but she ran out of yarn and turned it into a hat I think. Well, it can be many things but tonight we turned Bryant into a Chia Pet with it. It's hilarious!!! He loved wearing it too. It was so long on him I could have put a pony tail in it. Is this not the cutest little chia pet ever???

Birthday Dinners!

Tonight my parents took my entire family out to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was in honor of Corey and Edgar (my brother in laws) birthdays that were this week. It was such a blast and the food was great! I was so happy with the boys they behaved so well, I even had one lady come up as she was leaving to tell me what cute kids I had and how good she thought they were. I love hearing that as these boys mom!
Since it was their birthday they got to sit on the saddle for
a picture and Edgar suggested they sit together.
It was pretty funny!!
And here is finally a pregnant picture of me. I have lost my camera and my mom finally got a picture of me so I thought I would share. This is me at almost 18 weeks.
Here is a picture of me and my sis together.
We are due 3 weeks apart.

And Finally....

BLOOD!!

I knew it was just a matter of time until I would be rushing my children to urgent care for stitches or a broken bone. Well last night, August 19, 2009, the very same day that Daddy was celebrating his birthday alone, Mommy was taking her youngest to Urgent Care alone at 9:30pm.

This is how it all went down for our records, I know this will be the first of many.

Dallin and Bryant were playing on the couch throwing objects at each other, one of their favorite pass times! Well, I told them to stop, but like the little rebels that they are they didn't listen and I was to busy to really make them stop. Until...

Bryant starts to scream and cry. Now if anyone of you knows my little Bryant man you know that he screams at just about anything. Seriously!! So I say, "Oh Bryant, you're ok, it's ok" and kinda look up to see him rubbing his eye, and then the blood. I guess this time he really meant it! So I picked him up and put him on the counter, cleaned it up and examined the flesh wound and tried to justify putting a butterfly band-aid on it. I wasn't sure if that would be good enough so i called my brother-in-law to come home and take a look at it to see what he thought. After much thought, well not much, if I was gonna take him anywhere that wasn't near the hospital and didn't involve the word Emergency, cause this clearly wasn't an emergency, I would have to hurry. It was already 9 pm. So we decided that I should take him in. I wasn't to happy about it but did it anyway. Thankfully Jacob stayed home with Dallin and put him to bed while I was gone, he's a great SINGLE guy(ladies)!! Anyways... on the way to Urgent Care I couldn't help but think that if Corey were home he would probably be super gluing this tiny deep cut shut right now. So we get there and we get taken care of like we are Kings and Queens. Well we were the only ones there so I think they were a little bored an excited to see something a little different then the common cold and fever. This was a flesh wound for goodness sakes. I think they would have put a couple stitches in it even if it didn't really need it just for the fun of it, honestly! So we go back and they strapped my little man, who by the way was handling this all very well, no crying he made, so they strapped him down and made a little burrito out of him. Then they started in on him. He wasn't a big fan of this part. They told me they weren't going to numb him because they would have to poke him twice to numb him or poke him twice, well four times really, to do the stitches. So after all was said and done he came out looking great and was very happy to get a Popsicle, which he enjoyed to the last drop!! We got home around 10pm from the whole ordeal, and to think if I had only put them to bed 10 minutes sooner then I was planning on this whole thing could have been avoided, or maybe if I would have actually stopped them from throwing things at each other. Shoulda, coulda, woulda, oh well life goes on.

Happy Happy Birthday!!

Today is my wonderful hubbies birthday! I love this guys tons a bunches. I'm so proud of him and all that he does for our family. He's such a hard worker and treats me and the boys so well!! I'm sure glad that I'm married to my best friend and the love of my life! He's amazing! Happy Birthday Babe!!!

And for Baby Whiting #3....

Boy!!!!
I guess we'll stick to what we're good at! Jenny you can have the girls, and I'll have the boys. I have to admit I was a bit emotional about the outcome, not that I wasn't incredibly happy that we are blessed to have this child and that he is healthy and normal but it's just a little sad to think I might not ever get to have a daughter. But after talking with my hunny-buns about it and after shedding a few silly tears I was told (by the love of my life) that I am the Queen of my castle. I suppose that is right and I am just gonna have to take advantage of that role!! I love my boys and am way excited for them to have a cute baby brother.

What's it gonna be?

So I go to my doctors appointment tomorrow. I'll be getting an ultrasound to see whether we're having another cute little rowdy boy or a cute little rowdy girl. I'm pretty excited I must say this thought has pretty much overtaken my brain the last week, ok 4 months. I told Corey since he wasn't going to be there for the appointment cause he'd be working I would wait until that night to tell him so I could do something cute and creative. But then I got to thinking and since he really wanted to be the first person to know and he wouldn't be home until about 10 or 11 that night it would be almost impossible for me to not tell anyone else before him. He thought it would be funny to have me try and wait it out for him but I told him he would be disappointed cause even if I said nothing to other people they would know just by looking at me. So I thought of a creative way to tell him when I call him at 9 in the morning. I got him 2 presents, one pink, and one blue. I wrapped them, put them in his flight bag and when I know what it is I'll call him and tell him which one to open. Kinda a creative way of letting him know without him being here. SO then I can tell all the other people that love me and this little baby what the gender is. So anyways I'm pretty excited and can't wait for 8 am tomorrow to come!!!!

Whiting Reunion 2009

This year Dallin, Bryant, and I tried out camping at the reunion all by ourselves, no Corey. Ok well there were Aunts and Uncles and Grandparents, but there's nothing like having your husband there. We had a lot of fun but I must admit it was quite a struggle for me! The boys completely enjoyed there stay. They mooched rides on the quads. Dallin is a very good moocher! They played in the dirt, and ran all around exploring all kinds of things.
We had so many things planned for this reunion and it really turned out very well! Carolyn and I planned a few sill Olympic events for the family to play and Corey's cousin Dustin and her husband had a GPS scavenger hunt, which was a lot of fun!
Dallin spent most his time running away from me, silly mom was always trying to control him. Corey reminds me often that life is much easier when I just let them live, I'm still working on letting hem live.
Here he is running away from me yet again, all I wanted was a cute picture.
Then Uncle Jacob pulled out his awesome uncle skills and made this swing for the boys. We had high hopes that it would entertain them for quite some time, but to our great disappointment they played with it and were done in about 2 minutes. Big Bummer!!!

After this experience I have decided that I will no longer tackle camping by myself with two children 2 and under while pregnant. Talk about insanity!!! It wasn't as bad as I think it was, and I probably wouldn't have thought it was that bad had I not had a ton of raging hormones and had enough sleep, man those kids sure have a lot of energy. All in all it was a good trip, spent with good people, I was happy to get to know some of Corey's cousins better, they are pretty cool people. But I'm happy to be back home! Now I'm just waiting for my wonderful hubby to get home this week so we can go camping AGAIN this weekend, I know I'm crazy!!!

Catching Up...

SO I realize I haven't posted anything in a while, that's mostly due to the fact that I have somehow managed to lose my camera. So I have been taking pictures with my phone and although the quality of the picture is not quite up to par they will have to work for now until I can find that dang camera. Here are a few pictures I have taken over the last couple weeks.
This was the day that Bryant and Dallin found the ink cartridge refill for the printer. This was after I cleaned them up, they had it all over their faces and hands, luckily not all over the floor or furniture. I called poison control and they said they should be fine, but what a mess!!!
Bryant's black hand.
I know I posted about our grill night but I forgot to include this picture of the beautiful grill. We LOVE it!!!
Then the other day at my mom's we were playing outside and the boys were having a blast jumping into the little swimming pool she has. My boys love the water! Look at Dallin's mad skills on that slide!!!
Oh yeah!!

SO there is a little update for anyone who reads this blog.
