By the way... Asher is only a week old, although he may look like he is 1 or even 2 months, he's just a big happy healthy boy!!!

Tender Moments...

Asher and I had a moment...
Last night, after one of his midnight feedings, he decided he didn't want to go back to sleep right away. He laid there in my arms wide-eyed, just looking around the room. I keep the bathroom light on at night so I can see what I'm doing when I get up to feed him at night. He was staring at the different shapes of lights on the walls and ceiling. I stared at him and just smiled. He is so perfect and beautiful! Then he started to smile..and move his mouth as though he was talking to someone. I was told with my other children that babies are so close to heaven cause they are so innocent and pure. I believe it!! While I was watching him last night I felt a bit closer to heaven also! I thanked my heavenly father for this special gift! I was grateful for that moment with my little man, just me and him, I'm so lucky!!!
Here is just a cute picture of my 3 sons, hehe!!I love saying that!
And my lovely husband loves to make green smoothies. I love him for it!! They are so delicious and packed with fiber, a must for me these days, if you know what I mean.
This was my breakfast, and now he is off to the park with the older boys and I'm enjoying my smoothie and some more Asher and mommy time!!!

Life with 5 kids...

I love this picture of Asher with his cousin Grant!
So adorable!

Grammy with her new grandbabies!
Dallin was bored with his new brother so he picked up and even more boring hobby.
Bryant wearing daddy's hospital clothes he didn't get to wear cause mommy chose the VBAC.
My sister and I the day I came home from the hospital, our boys are exactly 1 month apart.
Grant weighs 11 lbs, and Asher is 9 1/2, crazy!!
Bryant holding his new brother, he loves Asher, but really both boys don't really care about him too much, they have each other to play with and they're happy!
The day before Asher was born, the boys and I enjoying each other!

This is the way all our plans for having a c-section changed:
Saturday morning we went to the hospital at 6:15am for our scheduled c-section. As they were getting me ready for the surgery, they had me all hooked up and were monitoring the baby and me. They noticed that I was having pretty regular contractions, about every 3 mins apart. They weren't strong so I didn't think anything of it. They checked me to see if I had changed any from my last appointment and I was only at a 3 so I thought things still weren't going to happen the way I would like. They called the doctor and got the approval to go ahead with a VBAC. I was excited and a little flustered at the same time. It was hard for me to be to excited because things were like a roller coaster, going in for a c-section and then all of a sudden I'm doing a VBAC. My parents came down to the hospital expecting to see their new grandson and all they saw was me in no pain at all. So this was how it happened:
10am- Doc broke my water, contractions get a little better but not much
12pm- they check me I'm only at a 3 1/2
(I walk and walk and walk)
2pm: I'm now and a wonderful 4 and they start potocin, and contractions get much, much better!!
5pm: They check me again I'm now at a 7, that was exciting but not really where I wanted to be cause contractions were horrible!!!
(While I was in labor Corey and I watched a couple movies, not to enjoyable with contractions, Corey took a nap, and ate lots of yummy food, but I could only eat ice chips in case I had to do a c-section anyways)
6:30pm: I'm considering a epidural, watching Corey nap and not being able to eat anything, not getting any sleep the night before cause I was nervous for the c-section I had originally planned on, having the shakes so bad and not being able to relax at all, I opted for the epidural, but not before crying because I thought how weak I would feel for not doing this one all natural like Dallin's, I had done it before why couldn't I do it again?, but oh well...
7ish pm-I had them check me to see if I was at a 9 or 10 and if I was I'd not get the epidural, I was still at a 7, bring on the epidural!!!
Epidural worked great!! Until...
8:00pm- Baby's heart rate kept dropping with every contraction I was unknowingly having, then all of a sudden I had terrible pain in my very low abdomen. I was really worried because they told me if I had a strong pain where my old scar from the last c-section was that doesn't go away to tell them right away cause that means it could have tore. So with having the epidural and still feeling this pain that wasn't going away, I got pretty scared! My nurse was there so I told her and she went to check me and said, Oh well that's cause your about to have a baby.
8:30pm-They got me all ready to push, 13mins and 4 pushes later we met our little Asher boy.
It was pretty easy to push him out considering he was so big.
9pm: My parents showed up from being out of town earlier that evening. It was so perfect.
Corey and I were able to spend the day together alone. We experienced this birth together, and at just the right time my parents showed up to celebrate it with us. It was painful, long, and I got an epidural, but it was a great experience all in all!!
Oh and my 5 kids include:
Corey, the biggest, but still a kid!
Dallin- the sweetest trouble maker
Bryant- A lovely mess maker, that has discovered the terrible 2's
Max- the dog, enough said
Asher- the best eater and sleeper of them all!!

The Low Down...

So today I had my last Doctor appointment before my due date. It didn't go as I was hoping. He checked me to see if I had changed at all from last week and still no change. I was to say just a little disappointed!! I tried to fight back the tears but my doctor could tell I was upset about something and asked if I was ok, and that's when I lost control of my tears. I just told him I was tired of being pregnant. I know that doesn't sound good or nice but it has been a long pregnancy and I have been really active and so my body is very tired. Not to mention my children who don't realize that mommy's tummy isn't a playground, free for them to crawl and jump on. That kinda hurts these days. I've tried to explain it to them but come on they are so young they don't get it. So after discussing what would happen next week if I still haven't progressed and gone into labor on my own, they would do a stress test on the baby and then schedule a c-section for the end of that week, I decided to go ahead and schedule one for the end of this week instead. The reasons behind that is... Corey's work was nice enough to let him have time off for when we have the baby, however they told him his time off must start on the 24th, my due date, if I have not gone into labor before that, in which case he could be off at that time. So with scheduling a c-section at the end of next week he would be off for 1 whole week while I am still pregnant and then spend 4 days in the hospital with me and 3 days at home and then have to go back to work. I didn't like the way that sounded, having a c-section before I know how the recovery is and with 2 small children already at home I want my husband there as much as possible!!! So I told my doc that the end of this week would be much better. Corey could plan on coming home a day early from his 5 day trip and be there for his son's birth. So we went ahead and scheduled it for the end of this week. Saturday Jan. 23rd, 2010 to be exact. We are excited for him to be here! So that is why we are doing another c-section, Corey's schedule, him being able to work as much as possible and still be there for the birth. I had a hard time making this decision, even waiting longer to try and see if my body would do it on it's own, going on several hikes, Ussery pass, Papago Park, and "A" mountain twice, not to mention the several walks and "other" things you can do to try and get things going, but to my disappointment none have seemed to help. I was feeling like a very weak person for making this decision, like I was taking the easy way out or something and got pretty down and hard on myself and Corey was so nice and said, "Hunny, you're amazing, thanks for making this sacrifice of your comfort and body to do so much for all of us! I know it's not fun to recover from a c-section and you're willing to do that for all of us, you're awesome." Or something like that, it was so nice of him to say, and I know he was trying to make me feel better about this decision, and maybe it did help a little. I love that man!!! and I will miss him the next 4 days!!!

Happy Birthday My Baby Boy...

That's right My Baby Boy...
Today you turn 2!!!
Bryant is in love with his kitty and piggy and will not go anywhere without them. It was so cute the other day he took them outside to push them in the swing and then wanted to swing with them so I pushed him for a while until he fell asleep with them and took his nap there. Not the most comfortable spot to sleep but oh well. Daddy moved him a bit later into his crib.
More on what we did for Bryant's birthday later... it was a blast!!!

I'm so sick of it!!!

Today I went to get a pedicure.
That is not the part I'm sick of...
While I was sitting there the lady next to me says,"You must be due already!"
I said "No I have about one more week"
To which she replies, "Wow your belly is huge!, there IS only one in there?"
I said "Yup, my 3rd in 3 years, maybe that is why it is so huge!"
It's just a little embarrassing!! I know cause I agree with them, I am huge! But I would never say that to someone who is huge, it's very rude!
She continued to say that she would have said I was having twins with how big my belly is and asked if it was always this big with my others.
I told her, "You know, the other day someone else asked me if I was having twins and I didn't really like that question!"
I thought that might make her shut up but she continued and then I got up and left, after nicely saying goodbye!

Toilet Paper

and my boys do not mix!!!!
While I was cleaning my bathrooms the other day my house got uneasily quiet. I went to check on my boys and found them with 8 rolls of toilet paper in their room practicing for their teenage years of teepeeing, not sure if that is how it is spelled?! They did get in trouble, time out and they had to clean it up by themselves. Dallin kept telling me he was too big to pick it up but I told him if he could make the mess he sure as heck could clean it up too. The pictures don't really do it justice though, it was quite a mess!!! They'll be great at decorating peoples houses someday!!!

!!!CAUTION!!!!

The Image you are about to see has been
known to make people say rude and unthoughtful things
and has in fact caused one woman to even cry!!!

That's right viewers it's me in all my glory!!
I do in fact have a ginormous belly.
You know the kind that is hard to bend over or do just about anything with.
Here is my major problem right now...
I went to the doctor yesterday and I am still only dilated to a 1 and 50%. This was a major disappointment since I am a crazy insane busy woman. I thought for sure things would be moving along better than that!! I know I still have a couple weeks but I haven't been having any contractions what so ever and I'm really afraid that my body is built like a rock.
My doctor said that since I have had a c-section already they will not let him induce me, ever!
So if I don't progress then I have to schedule a c-section anyways, after my due date, or I could just go ahead and schedule one now. I really wanted to do this baby naturally again like I did with Dallin but I'm thinking that may not happen.
I'm planning on going on a long, long, long walk today to hopefully help things along.
Wish me luck!!!

That Crazy Cleaning Lady!!!

I'm sure that's what my kids think of me a lot these days.
I have been crazy about keeping my house clean and getting things organized before this baby gets here. I feel like it's kind of taken over me the last couple weeks. Scrubbing, sweeping, mopping, etc. Today I scrubbed the lower half of my house. Do you ever just look at your walls and think, "Wow, We are slobs!" Well I do, A LOT!! So today I got my bucket out and scrubbed the walls. Not only the walls but the table and chairs and everything else around the house. It was quite the job for a 9 months pregnant lady, I mean this belly of mine is hard to get around but oh it feels so good to see clean walls. I told Corey that I was bound and determined to have the house clean before I leave for the hospital but then we both laughed because no matter how clean I leave it that glorious day, it will be horribly messy when I get home.
These are just some funny pictures of the boys in the car yesterday. Dallin kept saying his hair was cold so I gave him a diaper to put on his hair. They both loved it!

This is Bryant's "cheese" face.

A New Year

Today the boys had their first day of Joy School.
They were pretty excited to go and had a blast. The theme was Teddy Bear Day but they wanted to bring their piggy and kitty they got for Christmas instead. I was even more excited about joy school then they were I think. I sent them off, had Corey make me a Pina Colada before heading out the door and sat down to watch Julie and Julia. What a great way to start the morning!!
Yesterday we went for a hike over at the Ussery Mountains. It was fun. We took Max the dog with us and he loved it too. He's such an awesome dog, stayed close to us and never ran away. He really loves the boys. It's so funny when they leave the house he whines for them non-stop. Yesterday Corey took the boys to the store with him and Max waited by the door until they got back. He is a very loyal dog!!
Water Break
Daddy and his boys
The other night I went to the store to stock up on food to make frozen dinners. I made two different meals, Enchiladas and Lasagna. I made 4 enchiladas and 3 lasagnas.
While I was in line at the store for my food some lady asked if I was having twins. I told her no, and she responded, "Wow, you're really big!", I told her I was just due very soon but thanks.
Corey got up on the roof the other day to fix some things and Bryant was on this chair trying to get up also. When I asked him what he was doing he said No take pictures of me!
This was New Year's Eve night, Midnight to be exact. We went outside to shot off poppers and Bryant was a bit shocked!!
Dallin a little too! But they had lots of fun.
While waiting for midnight to roll around we watched some movies.
Dallin and Bryant both love this motorcycle santa that my mom has,
they have to take turns with it.
This was some of the women at the party putting together a puzzle. It was loads of fun!
So here's to a new year and lots of fun!
Now bring on the baby already!!!
