Boot Camp

Today I started an All Women's Boot Camp. Let me just say, it was tough. It was the first day and the guy in charge was telling us "first timers" that the first week is going to be a warm up and next week we'll get into the "tough" stuff. I was wiped out after the hour workout. But I know that if I stick with it I'm gonna be one hot mama when I'm done! So I'll let you know how it goes and report my success as I go.

My BFF's

Tonight the boys, aka my BFF's, and I took dinner to my lovely husband at work. While we were waiting for Daddy to come out to the car and get it we rolled the windows down and listened to all the birds. It was actually quite enjoyable. Then I decided to leave the windows down while we drove home. Not only did I leave the windows down but I blasted the radio too. It took me back to my younger years with my high school BFF when we would go to silly parties or just go out and about on crazy wekend nights just driving around town with the windows down, radio blasted, and singing our hearts out. While I was the only one singing tonight, I know my boys would have joined in if they knew the words, I throuoghly enjoyed myself. I think my favorite part had to be when I looked back at Dallin, who's window was completely down and he was dancing with his head, arms strechted out wide, eyes closed, with the bigest grin on his face. That had to be the high light of my day! I sure love these kiddos of mine. Thanks for helping me feel young (and kinda cool) again boys!!!

My son the...

Photographer
That's right,he L-O-V-E-S taking pictures! He constantly wants to steal my camera to have his own little photo shoots with just about anything.
But today is the first time I really saw him at his best and you know what I think he might be really good at this someday. For at least a half hour tonight, if not longer, he was taking photos of me and his brothers.
The only thing he did different tonight then most other times he starts in on one of his photo shoots is he was explaining to me how to pose.
"Now do this mom (then he would show me how I was supposed to do what he was telling me to do)." It was so stink'n cute! I sure love this kid.

This is the fish face he told us to make.
Happy faces,
don't mind my ugly self, I never got to the shower today after working out.
Mommy kissing Bryant
and a nice shot of the back of my head.
All in all he did a pretty good job.
I think he might make it as a photographer someday, I really do

3 BOYS IN A TUB!!
The youngest

The Oldest, and getting mighty big I might add...
Dallin Man
and The Middle Child, with all his middle child drama...
Blue eyed Bryant
(Dallin was very excited about this last photo, he made me show it to him right away and he immediately says, Look there's my foot", silly kid.)

Adorable!!

Look who feel asleep today after eating his lunch and while watching his brothers outside from the back door. It was too cute!!
My family reunion this year had the theme "Wild West". It was tons of fun and they had lots of fun little guns for Dallin to play with. They were air-soft guns so he couldn't shoot them but it was still fun for him to carry them around the whole weekend. This is how he preferred to carry them.
This was one of the activities they had for us to participate in. It was the wagon ride where we rode in the back of the "wagon" while we circled the field and shot at the Indian's (wood cut outs of Indians) hiding behind the trees. It was really fun!
These pictures were taken the other day and I thought I'd post them cause I think my kids are cute.

We made silly glasses out of pipe cleaners. Fun stuff!
Silly Dallin posing with the flower that we made.
And Asher.
He made an adorable little mouse!

Smarty pants...

My little man Dallin is your top of the line smarty pants. He has become quite clever lately and however smart it may sound it is getting on my last nerve!!

For example, this morning he comes into MY bed to cuddle with DADDY. Then he says to Corey, "Dad I don't want you to be sad, I want you to be happy." That really came out of no where but then he leans over Corey and says to me, "Mom you need to go clean the house cause it's dirty!" What a little stinker. The thing he doesn't get is that I try and try to clean my house but between feeding and making kids happy I cannot possibly keep up on my house work before he goes around making a mess somewhere else. He makes messes way faster than I can clean. Oh and lets not forget about the hubby, he's a great guy but his "pick up after myself skills" need a little polishing. Talk about bonkers!!!

Then in an effort to feel like a good mom, I decided to take took my kids to the library today. We took food to feed the birds and I let them play at the park before story time. well, the park tings went ok and I suppose story time wasn't horrible but my middle child has a real problem with being incredibly violent. I'm not sure where he gets it from but he finds pleasure in just slugging you in the leg or elbowing you in the chest or slapping your face or pushing you over. He's your top or the line bully. Asher had a poopy diaper but I couldn't exactly change him there during story time and it would be way to hard to get all the kids organized to go to the bathroom to change him. SO he was a little fussy but not to bad. Then I decided I had enough and packed everyone up anyways and headed home. It wasn't exactly the "good job mommy" outing I had in mind. Then when we got home it wasn't even 5 minutes before Dallin poured out a big thing of bubbles all over the kitchen floor then came over to me and pulled on my new watch that I got and says, " I gonna break it." and starts to walk away. I made sure he went to time out and said,"why dallin, why do you insist on breaking everything. You destroy everything!" Now I know that is not the best thing to say to your child and then he says back to me, "Why are you destroying me?" I stopped right there and realized how that was so true. I hate that there are times that I don't feel like I can control myself and say hurtful things and it realy is destroying my children to some extent.

Hopefully I can figure out how to be a better mom and stop "destroying" them as Dallin puts it.

Poop!

Dallin runs into the house saying "Bryant, why did you poop?" I think to myself, oh no here we go again... my middle child has an obsession with pooping outside. It drives me crazy. And I can't figure out how to make him stop. So I go outside to clean up the crap. I get that all taken care of and I hear Dallin yell from the bathroom, "Mom come wipe my bottom!" All the while my sweet little 7 month old is trying to follow me crying. So I go take care of that little mess, but glad that at least his poop made it into the toilet. I tell him in front of Bryant that I will reward him with a piece of candy since all his poops made it into the toilet. So I wash my hands and go to get him a piece of candy. Then I bend over to pick up my little sweet crying baby and get the most wonderful suprise all over my arm. Yes he had a nice soggy, leaking poopy diaper. Ugh!!! So I get him all cleaned up and go to wash myself up AGAIN, and I hear a little voice from the bathroom say, "Mom, come wash my bottom." Bryant upon hearing that Dallin was getting a treat for going in the toilet decided that he would go again in the toilet. Sorry bud no treats for you!

When it Rains it POURS!!

This past weekend we headed up to the lovely country, Snowflake AZ. It was my family reunion and like every year it was super interesting. It was fun though and I had a great time. However...

On the way home, on our last little stretch home our car a/c went out. Either a hose blew or the compressor blew up not sure which yet, I'm hoping it's just a hose. At least it was at the very end of our trip and not the beginning. After we figured out what it was, in the car I was talking to Corey and saying "oh man that is gonna be expensive to fix, huge bummer!!" Now for the next exciting news... we get home and I walk into our lovely home and look into the kitchen and notice that the back door is open about 3 inches and the curtains are blowing ever so lovely. I go out to the car and ask Corey, "Did you forget to shut the back door before we left?" and he looks at me funny and says, "No I don't think so, I might have forgot to lock it though, why?" So we go back in the house and look at the door and Corey looks into the back yard and sees our back fence is busted and broken. My heart immediately started racing. I was listening to my sweet children laughing and playing and I was freaking out! Someone had broken into our house while we were gone and I didn't know what they had done or if they were even still there. Corey started going through the house and everything looked pretty normal. Then we got to our room where they opened up several drawers and took a bag of cash with about $200 in it and they took a few other electronic things of worth to us and our Wii. They went through my jewelery but luckily I don't have anything worth taking. They didn't leave it a complete disaster which was nice but the yucky sick feeling I have being in my own home is horrible. I get sick thinking about how some stupid kids were in my home. A place where I used to feel safe. I wonder what they were thinking as they walked through my kitchen and down my hall. Looking at the pictures of my kids on the walls and the signs of a happy family all over the place. I wonder what they did with my videos they stole from me the ones of my honeymoon, my baby Dallin growing up and oh yeah the one of me bringing him into this world. I don't really care about the video camera or the money or the Wii. All those things can be replaced, but I won't be able to get those moments on film again and I definitely won't be able to help myself from feeling violated and scarred out of my mind in my very own home. Oh and for the record we had locked the back door they just pounded and pried at it with some tools and got it open. Oh I feel so safe!!

P.S.
Corey just found out through some further examining to our nice car and it was indeed the a/c compressor. That sucks!!
