Over stimulated...

Is it possible for an adult to get over stimulated??
I think it is very possible, cause I feel very over stimulated right now!!
Like the kind where your child has had non-freaking-stop crap going on and never has there been a moment of silence or relaxation or relief of ANY KIND and then they start to cry because they don't know how to deal with the way they are feeling and there is nothing that you can do to console them.
Yup that is how I feel today!!! Right now!!!!!

I just have to complain a little bit and I'm sorry, but I'm kinda not, because I'm so freaking tired of the way things have been lately that if one more thing happens I might just never stop crying...

First, I have a HUGE sickness. It is a little obsession with wanting my house to be perfectly clean at all minutes of the day. If it's not clean, then I go crazy. I don't really like this about myself. I kinda hate it because I can never really be happy with my house or my kids because they are constantly making messes, like right now as I type this I can hear messes being made and my blood is boiling. It probably wouldn't be boiling if I hadn't cleaned my house really well all morning and then proceeded to pick up kids toys 3 other times since then and didn't have a child trying to type on the keyboard as I'm typing and that same child saying over and over that they want to play a computer game, annoying. I'm about to lose my freaking mind. It also wouldn't be so bad if it didn't hurt my body terribly to do such things 10 times in a day but a big fat pregnant lady is not made for constant cleaning up of the stupid toys. It's a sickness I know.

Second: Could the kiddos please stop fighting!!! For goodness sake, people, ahhh!!!

Third: Does anyone on this planet speak "Kari". Cause right now I feel like there must be some kind of language barrier between my children and I and I'm not quite sure some adults understand what I'm saying either. And there is the fact that I'm completely ignored after I have said things nicely 5,6,7 times in a row.

Fourth: I will not mention this frustration of mine since it may be too wrong/mean to mention.

OK I think I need a long break, with a HUGE Dr. Pepper and a lot, lot, lot of chocolate and a clean house when I get done, is that too much to ask????

My wonderful Husband!!!

I've been so frustrated lately with that lack of organization in my home.
One thing that really was bothering me was the baby boy's room closet.
It is too shallow for a normal hanger, but not to shallow for a kid hanger yet it had nothing in it. It was just a big open hole in the wall. I had a dresser in it along with a wire shelf thing but it just looked so terrible and unorganized! So after some begging I got Corey to help be make more sense out of the hole. I cleaned it out, drew a picture of what I had in mind for the closet and he went to work. He was amazing. He worked so hard on it and I am so happy to finally have a closet that works and makes much more sense.
This is a picture of the building process.
And the end result. It is so much nicer!!! I still need to put a curtain up and finish decorating and painting the room but I love the closet. The dresser is built in and so now there is no need for one in the room. And Corey made everything by hand. He is a stud!!!

One cute kid!!!

I love this stink'n cute kid so very much!!
Yeah those big brown puppy dog eyes, they get me every single time!!
He's so fun and is such a huge character right now!!!
L-O-V-E him!!!
Oh my goodness, it may just be that I'm his mother but have you ever seen a cuter,
messy faced kid??
So instead of my list of things I'd like to have done today this is what we did:
Fed 7 children ages 4 and younger
Painted pumpkin jars
More painting, and this was after we made the cute paper plate animal crafts my wonderful mother got us.
I also watched the silliest little play/concert that the boys and Sedona put on. It was pretty much just them introducing themselves over and over an over, along with the tortoise. After a while they started to add to their play, things like how they had to save the tortoise from the bad guy. It was pretty boring but I was so happy to see them using their imaginations and it took me back to my childhood when my sister, cousin and I would always come up with funny shows for my mom to watch. Now I know how you felt mom, thanks for watching our silly shows.
SO yeah, not much of my list got done today but the kids had loads of fun with crafts and friends and cousins and I think that was more important than a clean house, today anyways.
I did, thanks to my wonderful husband, get most of the laundry done and I folded and put it away and believe it or not I actually showered. That is a big thing for this busy mama, it was at 6:30 pm right before I went visiting teaching but at least it got done, right?!!

Today...

I'm going to attempt to clean my whole house,
catch up on my enormous amount of laundry,
make sure the kids are feed 3 meals today,
and maybe do something fun, like maybe sew all the clown costumes we
will hopefully be wearing for Halloween,
but probably not because then my house cleaning would go out the door.
Maybe I'll head to the farmers market and get a bunch of fruit and make jam, yummy!!!

Post Update:
Pretty much none of the things on my list have gotten done today and I'm in a pretty sour mood about it!! Not that the kids haven't had their share of fun. Even with nothing on my list getting done I am still overly sore and would like to scream at somebody. Oh an my house feels a bit to hot... I think this pregnancy thing just up'd it's dose of freaky girl hormones on me and it's making me C-R-A-Z-Y!!!!

CTR rings...

The boys kept asking me for a ring today so I thought it would be a good idea to take them to Deseret Book and let them get their very own CTR ring. That was one ring I didn't think Corey would mind them having. So I let them go get $2.00 from their piggy banks and we headed out.
I let them pay for their own rings an we were out of their in no time. They loved the rings, they were shiny an they had cool green color on them. I told them that they were special rings and that I'm sure Daddy would love to see them when he got home so they needed to be very careful with them. After we left Deseret we headed over to Walmart to get some much needed diapers and a couple other things and when we were in the check out line I look at Dallin's hand and his ring is missing. UGH!!! So we carefully retraced our steps and were not lucky enough to find his ring he had for not even a half hour. I was pretty sad about the whole thing but he didn't really seem to care, which made me a little bit more sad. Bryant still had his ring and was proud about that but as soon as we got home, he lost it too. I am never letting them have anything! Nothing of value anyhow. What the heck!!!
Crazy Boys
This little guy is a crack up and is learning and saying so many words these days I love it!!!
And my little Blue eyes is a stud in his hat that he loves to wear around the house.
I sure love my boys!!!
I let Dallin take a picture of Asher, Bryant and I and this is what I got, silly kid!!!

Sometimes he really surprises me...

Yesterday after Corey got home from work he went into the bedroom to change his clothes.
He has quite a bit of things he had to take off his shirt before he actually takes it off.
Two things that he takes off of it are his wings and a new pin that he got from work to remember the attacks of 9/11.
Dallin loves to look at these pins and a lot of the times tries to steal them from Daddy.
I think he understands the wings pin but he asked Corey what the other pin was for and Corey just said it's for 9/11.
A few minutes later I came into the room and Dallin was holding the pin looking at it and I asked what it was and he responded,
"Its for all the people that died."
I looked at Corey and asked him if that is what he told Dallin and he said ,"No I just told him it was for 9/11."
We were both in shock that he would say it was for the people that died and asked how he knew that. He didn't have an answer. So Corey told him he was right then took him out and showed Dallin information about 9/11 and explained the events that happened that day.
Dallin kept saying that those people made a bad choice, and lots of people died, it was sad!
He's a pretty great kid and I kinda like it when he surprises me!!!

A good mommy day...

Today I decided would be a good day to make something out of the TP rolls I have been saving.
After looking up lots of different ideas, I thought
SNAKES
would be perfect for my boys to make.
I called my neighbor and asked if her daughter would like to come over and play with us and make a craft too.
This was her pink girl snake that she made.
The boys wanted to tie theirs together, which I advised was not a good idea, but they insisted.
Turned out to be, like I said a bad idea, they didn't last long this way.
But before they were smashed, torn and discarded,
this little guy had fun playing with them.
He kept trying to get mommy with the snake,
see the pregnant belly poking into the picture.
I can still see my feet, in this picture anyhow.
After they were all done painting their snakes I had a wonderful mess to clean up.
And this is with putting newspaper down on the table too.
All that painting and playing made those little kiddos hungry so I
put together a little yummy snack for them,
Yogurt, blackberries, and homemade granola.
Yumm-o!!!
They all enjoyed it.
Not pictured is the other little guy I was babysitting who wasn't the best painter, he'd rather eat the paint then use the paint for it's purpose. That kid amazes me, he eats all things inedible and doesn't like real food?? And today he was thoroughly enjoying the sound of his voice, the one he has when he cries. We had to take a good 20min. break to just cuddle on the couch to make him feel like he was being heard!!
This was all before 10am too.
It left this big mama a bit frazzled!!!
Then after our guests left I cleaned the entire house, something that was very over due.
Then my nieces and nephew came over for a little while to play and now I'm very pooped!!

Palmer Reunion/Labor Day Weekend

It was our annual Palmer Reunion this past Labor Day weekend.

It was loads of fun with lots of family.

This year the theme of our reunion was Viva Las Vegas.

It was the 20th Anniversary of the Reunion so we were in the Taylor Sweet Corn Parade also.

It was a bunch of fun and we all dressed up like things and people from Vegas.

There are a ton of pictures so I'll just give a short discription of some of them.

Bryant being silly on the huge turtle statue.

There is a beautiful little man made pond in front of my aunts house that is full of huge fish, and a few snakes and frogs, no joke!! The boys loved it!!
When the fish are hungry they come up and nibble your finger.

Feeding the fish. (Real fish pellets, not fingers)

We made lots of silly faces, at least we know Bryant did!

This is Bryant with the blue eyes, which he is very proud of and loves, by the way.

Lots of porch swinging.

Bummer eyes closed.

Four wheeling rides! Dallin insisted they not run over any bugs and even made them stop so he could move one out of the way.

Lots of bug finding and sometime squashing.

Tons and tons of yummy food!!!

Saturday night we did a couple skits and lots of fun dancing!! Dallin was a huge hit, man that kid has some moves!!

Asher and Papa dancing.

Saturday during the day there were lots of fun games to play, this one was slap jack. Every one had a fly swatter with a foam hand glued to it, the dealer laid the cards down and if you saw a jack you slapped it, very fun!!

Fun rides on the wagon.

Eating more yummy food!!

This was us in the parade. All the little boys were dressed up as Elvis. It was too cute but unfortunately we didn't get a picture of just the boys, bummer.

Mommy and Asher waiting for hte parade to start.

My mom made all us girls in my family these funny show girl costumes. It was a hoot and lots of fun!! We did a kick routine every once in a while in the parade and one time I tried to do too high of a kick and I think I pulled a muscle, not very fun!!

So it was a great weekend, and that about sums it up.

The importance of a name...

The more children I have the harder it gets to name them.
Probably not that uncommon, I know.
The more I think about it I worry about what name to choose for this new baby of ours. I did the same thing with Asher.
Will he like it, will it be good enough, will it build his character for good or bad?? These are all the things I think of these days.
Then the other day I realized it really doesn't matter what name we give him, he is going to love it!!
My proof...
I think I may have yelled
Dallin, Bryant, and maybe a few Asher's, directly at my children at least a hundred times in one day. Because to me they were being naughty but to them I think they love their names so much they look for all the things they can do in one single day to get yelled at just so they can hear their lovely name!!
I guess I chose them well.

On a different note.
I think I might have a sickness.
A clean my house every single day, follow my kids around pick up toys or what ever else is on the floor, and wipe my kitchen down several times a day sickness.
I am quite obsessed with this behavior and I think it is starting to rub off on my kids.
The sickest part, I'm so excited that it is rubbing off on my kids.
Yesterday when my niece was over to play she went into the boys room and started getting out the dress ups and Dallin walks in the room and I hear him say
"Ahhh, I just cleaned this room!!!"
I had to laugh!!
I was a wee bit giddy when I heard him say it too, although it really wasn't him that had just cleaned it, it was really moi, but at least he noticed.
