Our 5th Wedding Anniversary

5 Years ago on
JULY 21, 2005
Corey and I were sealed together forever.
We celebrated our anniversary by dropping the babies off at Grammy's house.
Then we headed out of town to Fossil Springs.

We went hiking down into Fossil Springs. I knew it was something Corey would absolutely love doing! And he did. He was impressed with my choice of activity. I figured I could probably handle it since I have been doing bleachers to work out for sometime now.
Hiking in was pretty easy. All down hill. And it wasn't to long of a hike, only about 4 miles.
Once we got to the springs we hung out and played for a few hours. Ate a little lunch that we had brought with us and just enjoyed being with each other.
This was a sad rope swing that wasn't really much of a rope swing but I enjoyed it.
This was taken right after we got to the springs.
We finally started to hike out and boy was is tough. Remember it was all down hill going in. And it was kinda steep too. I got some pretty awesome blisters. I just kept telling myself that I was geting a sunburn on the back of my ankles and for some reason that was helping the burn of the blisters to not hurt so bad. Silly I know. The blister on my left foot is a little bigger than a quarter and the one on my right is the size of a dime.

Anyways, after we got out we headed to Payson for dinner. We had a nice dinner and then drove home and enjoyed a night with no kids.
We picked the boys up the next day and my mom's (thanks so much mom!!) and found out they had been little angels the whole night. Asher even slept through the night, something he has probably only done 2 or 3 times.
It was an awesome anniversary and I'm so glad we were able to go out and spend the time together!!!

My Boys

Dallin
My little Dallin man is no longer so little. He is becoming quite the BIG kid and it scares me. He is very kind but recently has discovered his incredibly naughty side. He has major attitude and has decided that when he is in trouble he no longer like mom or dad depending on who it is putting him in trouble. He stomps off to his room saying "I don't like you mommy." It makes me pretty sad. This morning when I wouldn't let him eat his cereal in the living room he said ,"you not nice mommy!" I told him that is wasn't that I wasn't nice but that I loved him and want to help him be a good person. I went into depth about how mommy and daddy aren't mean but that we love him and want him to be happy and make good choices. He said ok. We'll see how long that lasts. Then just a minute ago him and Bryant were playing in the kitchen and I over heard him say to Bryant, "My mom is crazy!" Silly boy. He is a good kid he's just making me worry a little these days, which I do a little too much of. Do you think that they way children are as toddlers is a reflection on how they will be as teenagers? I sure hope not!!

Bryant
Bryant is my most imaginative child. He loves loves loves to dress up. This morning, like every other morning, he starts out being spiderman. They had made a mess and I was asking them to clean it up and he was very willing and I kept telling Dallin that Bryant would help him clean it up and he said, "No mom I spiderman." and it continued like that for a while until he changed his mind and wanted to be a doggy. He talks very well these days and loves to talk back. My mom says he's gonna be my trouble maker talking back like he does. He is a big mama's boy. He is my more shy child although once he warms up to you he'll be your best friend. Yesterday I rushed him to the ER because while at my sister's house he decided to drink some Clorox cleaner and was vomiting all over the place and could hardly talk. I was very worried but after I got there I realized I should have just called poison control but oh well, better safe then sorry. He is a crazy kid but like his older brother he worries me a bit.

Asher
Oh my sweet Asher. He is a great kid. I love him. He is just about always happy unless there is something really wrong. He can't decided if e wants to sit up yet. He does sometimes and then like a rag doll flops over. He is starting the beginning stages of crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. It's pretty cute. I sure love this guy and hope he always stays so sweet. Although his brothers started out pretty innocent and sweet too, now I'm worried!!

They don't deserve it!!

I have locked the play room door and it will stay that way until I feel my children deserve it back. I'm so sick of their disrespect for everything. All they do is go around all day everywhere they go making HUGE messes. I have tried to teach them to respect things. I have tried to show them what it means to have a clean house. I have tried to teach them to clean up, but none of it matters, none of it works. I'm really tired of all of this crappy crap!! I'm so tired of my disobedient unruly children. I love them to death, I can't stand to leave them but I'm doing a terrible job at raising them! Things have been getting considerably worse the last couple weeks. I think it has everything to do with Corey and I's stress and depressed levels. See I used to be the only one with depressed levels, the only one that lost their temper but now there are two of us and my oh my is it a sad site. While we aren't loud temper losers, well Corey isn't anyways, it is really tough to raise children under such stress. I have started taking on the more quiet approach to life. I'm not really sure what words to use to express my feeling and emotions so I just sit there with my thoughts. Even when asked what I'm thinking or how I'm feeling and I have all the words in my head how I feel I can't verbally say them. I was wishing the other day that there could be some way for Corey to just plug into my head, kinda like they do in Avatar, so he could know my thoughts without me having to try and explain it. I'm really ready for this trial in our life to be over. I just wish I could see the end, and soon!!

See bottom of post below...

While I was posting my last post and was just finishing up I looked over to see the fridge door open and gasped. I knew what was happening. Then I saw them, the two terrors with white hands and white faces. They had gotten into my cake, arggg!! They got a nice time out session!!!
SO I decided that I was gonna have to redo the icing on the cake. It was funny cause after I was done icing the cake the first time I had a ton of icing left over and told Corey it seemed a shame to throw that much icing away but he said well we could save it and it would just sit in our fridge and take up space. So I threw it out, big mistake!. I made some more icing and this is what I came up with the second time around.
This is more like what I had visioned for the first time icing it but didn't quite get there so I guess it was a good thing I got to start over.

I love my little guys!!

Dallin is a sweetie! He's a great big brother and so tender and caring! He's always concerned about other's when they're sad. Although he may be very energetic and rowdy, I'm very glad he is my first son!!

My littlest man just cracks me up and helps me smile!
Here is a picture of Asher-bo-dasher just after eating.
Who wouldn't smile while looking at this cute face.
Practicing his getting ready to crawl skills.
He is the best baby ever, he is always, well almost always happy and smiling.
His big new thing is dancing, any time you sing to him he bobs his head and dances, he really loves Lady Gaga's song "Romance".
It is so stink'n cute!!!
And he loves saying mama!
Bryant has an obsession with dressing up. This is one of his get-ups but it is quite small on him and I think I might have to hide it from him.
My brother in law asked me to make a cake for a wedding he was going to. It was a small wedding and only about 15 guest were expected. This is how it turned out. Not really what I was first going to do but oh well. It is french vanilla cake with chocolate mousse and butter cream frosting.

Allergic Reaction

This morning my baby boy woke up with an incredibly swollen face. I freaked out and was about to take him into Urgent Care when I called my mom and she said it sounded like an allergic reaction and to try and give him some allergy medicine so I went to the store and got some.
This is what he looked like this morning before the medicine.
By noon it didn't look any better and I was still worried so I took him in. It looked as though it may be getting a little worse. The docotr made me pretty mad! First of all the nurse was a serious crack head. She was all over the place and didn't really like children. I was super annoyed with her from the start. Then the doc comes in and asks what's wrong. I tell her I think he might be having an allergic reaction to something. She looked at him and asks," why do you think that?" I told her that when he woke up his face was super swollen. She looked at him again and say's, "well his one eye is a little swollen, but I'm not seeing what your talking about." I told her, "This is not what my baby looks like, when I look at him I don't see him and I can show you a picture of his normal face if you's like." I just hate it when doctors make you feel so dumb for taking your child in. There was definitely something wrong with him. Then she gave him some more medicine and sent us on our way, stupid doctor.
This is how he looks now
5 hours after having medicine in his system, a little better. Hopefully I'll have my cute baby Bryant back in the morning!!

4th of July

We headed up to Eagar, the cool country, for the 4th of July.
Here we all are at the parade on Saturday.

Then on Monday before we left we all took a little dip in the lake.
